Samajwadi Party for tie-up with Praja Rajyam

HYDERABAD : In a cinematic turn of events, the Samajwadi Party, now a crucial allay of Congress party at national-level is exploring the possibilities of reaching alliance with film star Chiranjeevi’s new party Praja Rajyam, in Andhra Pradesh.

To prevent the BJP from getting a new allay in the South, the Samajwadi Party general secretary Amar Singh announced on Friday that his party was ready to work with Chirnajeevi. He also announced that along with film stars and his party MPs Jaya Bachan and Jaya Prada, he will be meeting at Chiranjeevi’s residence in Hyderabad on September 7.

He also announced that Jayaprada and Jaya Bachchan, would campaign for Chiranjeevi during the upcoming Assembly polls. Praja Rajyam spokesperson Parakala Prabhakar confirmed SP leaders proposed meeting with Chiranjeevi, but said he was not aware of the agenda.
